I would say that …
I would say that receiver quality is just like anything else, they all exist at either end of the spectrum. A good quality receiver, like this one, will have better connectors, speaker terminals, and internal soldering…so in a word, YES! a good quality receiver will sound better even if not digital audio decoders.

there is no “digital input”. the optical, coaxial and hdmi input are all 100% digital. but optical and coaxial inputs are for audio only, whereas hdmi is for video aswell.

Does the receiver changes the sound quality?

I mean i know it can decode HD Lossless audio. But will my movies sound better or will it be just about the multichannels.

I have an old Technics AV Receiver bought in like… 2002 i think.

Will the difference be obvious even for normal 5.1 for exemlpe?
